This is pretty much what the house looks like these days when we finally get out there. We've had some super duper late nights finishing our projects. It seemed appropriate to share what we see late at night. ;)
They painted our outside doors red. So pretty! They did get some paint on one of the hinges and some of the foot part as you go in. Hope we can get those off.
Installed downstairs vents
The little girls came with us. Nothing else downstairs except they finished and touched up the trim by the stairs.
Since starting this project, Brett and I are always discussing if we are just picky-er than normal people. (Since we are pretty handy and can do most of this stuff ourselves IF we wanted to) But we are a bit frustrated by the sloppiness of the finish work happening by the painters. I understand it gets tricky to keep paint off other things but seriously?? You are professional painters. I tease that I'm going to wrap up a wet rag and give one to them for Christmas. Because really- why touch up paint on one color, smear it on another and then have to go back later and fix that other color. Just wipe off your mess-up while it's wet and be done. It's just unfathomable to me. What a waste of time. They even primed a big section of our white railing. Grrr!
Someone also smashed up one of our balusters pretty good. Double grrrr!

As we were leaving, there was a thunder storm behind us. Sorry for the crazy lighting on the house but the sky is pretty amazing!
