Land--- Check!

Wowzers! Finding land was quite the undertaking. Once we made a decision to move ahead on building instead of buying an existing home- we started looking at lots that were available in the Montana City area. That's where Brett really wanted to end up-- because of the incredible views, the proximity to the mountains and the extra snow that it supposedly gets. Even though we are very sad to leave our Church friends that we've made [We will be switching wards when we move], we feel like that's where we should be. Our hope is that the friendships we have made will just transfer to a new location. Which might be tricky due to the fact that we are told on a weekly basis that we "suck" for leaving! [exact quote, by the way] LOL
Here's our Lot Looking Journey
At first, we looked at quite a few lots with the help from Kevin.

 And then we found some on our own.

Here's some of our favorites we found but didn't end up with due to price or building complications.

For some reason, we kept coming back to this lot on Faith Lane. 

After a while, the view, the accessiblity and use-ability of the acreage took over our hearts. Not to mention the fact that it is on FAITH Lane is perfect for us. Believe me- it's taking a leap of Faith that we will survive this. LOL 

After a bit of negotiations about price, paying a little more than we wanted to and the long wait to actually get things figured out with the builder- the LAND is ours!!! (Ok- it's Chuck's for now but soon it will be ours.) 

*If I remember right- We decided we for sure wanted this property the week before Thanksgiving. We closed on the lot on the morning of Friday, Jan 17th- so it's been a long time coming.
